Pictured above are a couple of letter headings that I purchased this month. There is a Hardy & Thorp maverick token attributed to Caldwell. This shows the name of their business was the “Exchange Saloon” in 1894. The other letterhead from the “Gem Saloon” Gilmore, Idaho lists Dean and Spensley as props. The Blasing Rag Saloon/Gilmore later became the Gem Saloon. This letterhead is dated 1916. I also bought a letterhead that shows M.F. Black as the prop. of the “Blue Front Saloon” in Challis in 1902.

Dan reported a new variety of the Chamberlin Implement Co. whetstone from Weiser. It is gray with black lettering. Unfortunately it was not for sale.

Bill Gleixner reported that I had the information reversed on the Dirty Harry’s car wash token. Apparently the one I pictured was the new variety and not the older generic style.

I bid on a neat advertising plate from the Rigby Meat Co., Rigby, Idaho. It had a neat picture of a Victorian lady on it. I lost out at a bid of $46.00. It sold for $47.00.

Some other interesting memorabelia items sold on ebay. G-Man got a rare 1916 Idaho Chauffeur’s badge. He also got a group of neat real photos from the Soda Springs area. Mike picked up a neat group of CDA dog licenses, some good advertising ashtrays and a neat wood level with advertising from the Home Lumber Co.-Lewiston.

I picked up a neat tin advertising car ashtray from Perkins/ Fairfield, Idaho and a neat sterling silver spoon from Moscow with a nice engraving on the bowl.

John is bidding on a history book from Declo that looks interesting.

I was able to pick up a couple of illegal poker chips from “The Christiana” that operated in Ketchum. I got them in a trade with Bill Gleixner who is interested in trading poker chips for tokens.
