Greg picked up a neat 1915 calendar plate from Harman Haas-Weiser and Cambridge, Idaho. I also found a neat calendar plate from St. Charles, Idaho and one from Rexburg dated 1910. Dale found a maverick calendar plate that says "Spencer-Harwood Company". It is a 1911-1912 plate. We decided it was from Roberts. It could be argued that it’s from Market Lake since it was probably made in 1910 which is the year Market Lake changed it’s name to Roberts. Most collectible advertising calendar plates were given out between 1908 to around 1920. Several groups of seal and crest poker chips showed up on ebay from "The Christiania" which was a gambling place in Sun Valley in the late 1940's and early 1950's. I bid on the green colored seal type which is a rare color but I lost out. I’m hoping more groups show up with the buy it now option! I know Mike and G-Man each got a set. Dan Lute picked up a neat token die from M. A. Gross, Avery, Ida. Mike and G-Man seem to like "girlie" match covers and ash trays. Mike sent me a list of his ash tray collection which is quite impressive. They both added some to their collections this past month. I picked up a neat paperweight with a picture of the inside of O.A. Kjos store in Lewiston, Idaho. Myron found a new color combination for "The Barron Cigar Store/Buhl, Idaho" whetstone. The new one is the same as the 1a variety but is red with black lettering. He also picked up a previously unknown whetstone from the "Bingham Co-op. Inc./Hone your knife/Cut yourself a share of the profits/Blackfoot, Idaho". It is round, 55mm and is white with red lettering. There is a new web site for encased coin collectors. You can join for free at www.encasedcollectorsinternational.org. They already have about 140 members but most are from the east and they would like to get more collectors from the western states involved. Real photo postcards keep showing up on ebay. Several of us bid on them especially if they show the old building with business names on them. The prices seem to keep going higher. I know G-Man lost out on a group of old photos from Lava Hot Springs. Mike always seems to beat me to most of them. I picked up three nice old pre-1910 calendars with fancy ladies on them from a private source. They are from McCammon and Blackfoot and should look neat framed.
